Hi guys, having some trouble with this, and don't seem able to find a thread already addressing my specific problem, so have created one. If I have missed it in my searches please kindly direct me to it.
Okay, so what I'm trying to do should be fairly straightforward, but after searching on-line for over an hour and trying the fixes available there I'm none the wiser.
So essentially I'm just trying to use VLC to stream footage from my PC to my LG Smart TV. It is all connected to the network wirelessly and works fine, for example I can stream Youtube videos from my PC across the network to the TV without issue. However when I attempt to Stream content from VLC I get nadda. I followed a step by step guide from Wondershare, but still nothing:
https://www.wondershare.com/vlc/stream-vlc-to-tv.html
Is it just a function that VLC is incapable of, or am I just missing something obvious? I'm currently using Windows 8.1 FYI.
Oh, and with Media Player there was some mention of a DLNA Server as a way to facilitate streaming between your PC and a Smart TV. Is there one in VLC, or some equivalent I'm not finding?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
TALON
