VLC acting as DLNA-server

Hi !

i want to ask, if there are any plans to integrate dlna-server function into VLC-player ?

I don't think that really fits in the media player UI paradigm. A separate server application would make a lot more sense, IMHO.

but for me ist seems to be a logical step from VLC now acting as Streaming Server to VLC in the future acting as DLNA-server

I want it because there is no generic screen-mirroring service for Windows - miracast has very narrow PC hardware support for servers and chromecast has its own limits. I want a DLNA server that can mirror my desktop (ie more than just a media server, an arbitrary stream server) to third party devices, and VLC seems like the ideal platform for that. Except, it doesn't have the server side code in it yet.
