Save desktop stream in a file with start-time

Postby davboc » 18 Aug 2016 15:39

Hi all! I use this command to save desktop stream with audio:

Code: Select all

vlc dshow:// :dshow-vdev=screen-capture-recorder :dshow-adev="Missaggio stereo (Realtek High Definition Audio)" :live-caching=300 --sout=#transcode{venc=qsv,vcodec=h264,vb=2000,deinterlace,fps=25,width=1280,height=720,ab=128,acodec=mp3,samplerate=44100}:file{dst=F:\vlccaptured\desktoprec.flv}
this works fine but the output file is long several hours even if I record only a few minutes.

I think that a solution can be the use of the option :start-time= but I can't configure properly.
How can I solve this problem, in order to have an output file with the same duration of the recording?

Thanks

I see that the stream start time is the time when I turn on the Pc. There is a way to set the start stream time at the start of recording?
