streaming stops, where interactive view works fine?

Hi,

We need to stream max 5 mp4 videofiles to a broadcast appliance, that puts these streams on our internal cable network (I working in a hospital)

So I put these file in a folder, and made a small script that starts VLC in streaming mode for these files..

The destination IP's an ports are what I got from the appliance guys

This does the job rather fine, except that when trying to stream certain files, VLC exits after a few seconds.
At first glance I thought there ws something wrong with the files themselves (codec issue?) but when I play them 'interactivly' (double click the file, and it opens in VLC) everything plays just fine

So what is the difference between playing 'live' and 'streaming'?? Any suggestion on how to get things working are welcome..
