After change libvlc 2.0.7 to 2.2.1...CPU load becomes very high

Postby vukia » 28 Mar 2016 11:04

Hi all,

I use libvlc 2.0.7 and use vlm to record cameras to file without transcoding, 100+ camera just use 5~7% cpu usage.
I just change 2.0.7 to 2.2.1, the cpu usage is 99%, I didn't modify any code, just replace the libvlc.
Does any parameters (like hardware acceleratio?) I have to enable in 2.2.1?

Please look at the messages and go also through to 2.1.5.

2.1.5 still get very high cpu usage, but 2.2.1 and 2.1.5, the program runs normally, just the high cpu usage

I do some experiment, if I generate 50 cameras' relay, the cpu usage is 5%~10% ,
but if I generate 70 cameras' relay, the cpu usage is over 80% (even 99% and system hang..).
I generate camera's rtsp stream without transcoding, It seems some threads deadlock when generate stream.

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
