Hardware to Stream HDMI

Postby talaverameza » 09 Mar 2015 14:04

Hello, i'm working in a Streaming Server with VLC and i'm using a Encore ENLTV-FM3 TV Tunner to re-broadcast to internet and the video quality is very low. I need broadcast the video in HD, what HDMI Capture Card working with VLC to buy and mount my streaming server in HD?

Thanks!
(Sorry for my bad english)

one thing I know about HDMI is that the copy protection scheme "HDCP" is very troublesome. Its so funny how it is listed as a feature on video display cards. It is a real pain in the ass. I am using a Matrox MXO2LE to capture video and I am happy cause VLC can at least see the S-video connector on this box/card. But very disappointed with it for capturing HDMI because of HDCP. Do some research for HDCP before you buy any card claiming to capture HDMI. I can capture in SD when I have the gear that outputs SD. HDCP sucks.

Hello,
I understand better why I had a poor quality video.
Thanks.
