Camera external rca problems - Urgent

Postby cmoitili » 02 Dec 2014 09:25

Hi there,

I have 2 problems that I'd like to share with you.

As I said in the subject I have an analog camera (with rca cable (yelow)) connected on my computer.
When I use vlc to show the camera on my screen it works with DirectShow BUT...
when I connect to this computer with Teamviewer on my local network it shows vlc screen with black screen; my camera image it not there !!!!

Then I thought I will stream the camera

Then I streamed the DirectShow with video H.264 on the netwwork with videosize 640 and I get the image on my network but then the latency is too much to see it live properly.

Any idea what solution I could use to make this work, it would be very much appreciated, thank you.

PS sorry for my English, I'am French ;)

How much latency?

When streaming/playing check under more options and see you caching values.

I guess streaming will be 300ms and playing will be 1000ms. At least my VLC shows me those default values.

Try to decrease them and see if it helps.

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
