Stream my desktop using VLC ?

Postby thesaka24 » 10 Mar 2014 06:34

Hi everyone, I am new here.

I would like to stream my desktop to Google Hangouts using VLC player. Can I do that and if yes, how ?
Btw, I am using Windows XP.

Thanks.

go to Media
Convert/Save
Select Capture Device Tab in Open Media
capture mode pull down menu set to "Desktop"
set frame Rate above "50" F/S
Convert/Save pull down menu to "Convert"
Set Profile to "Video-H.264+MP3 (MP4)" "or desired out put"
Destination File location "your Choosing and naming"
Press Start at bottom
if one screen Minimize program If 2 or more you need to be in primary screen for you recording these setting it doesn't recognize the other screens

May want to add sound set up a input device "microphone"

hope this gives you what you want
Jeff
