Help required to stream tv channel

im streaming one tv Channel on local network with tv tuner card from vlc player the problem after 7 to 8 u=viewers start watching channel my computer (server with vlc + tv tuner) processor goes to 100% and picture start lagging on client side
computers specification
winxp
c2d 3.0
3 GB RAM

Yes, this is expected, because it requires quite a bit of CPU.

install something like Darwin Streaming server on a separate machine.
Or try multicast instead of unicast, However this may lead to lost packets, and load on the whole network. Does not work reliable with WiFi
