Help. Cant stream (VLC could not open the encoder)

Hello. Im new to the forum.

Im trying to stream video files from VLC on my pc to my Android. But everytime I try to open a file VLC tells me this:

Streaming / Transcoding failed:
VLC could not open the encoder.

I tried a couple of things but cant get it to work. Thanks to anyone in advance who can help me!

What version of VLC are you using? Please write the command that you use for streaming. Also if you are trying to stream using GUI maybe transcoding is enabled that is not necessary. If there is a problem by codec of the file you want to stream; you should know what is the codec of your file that you want to stream; just play the file using VLC and press ctrl+j to see codec and other statistics. If that is OK you should correct your command.
