Audio stops mid way through DVD when streaming

With VLC 1.0.5 I can play the DVD. When streaming the audio stops mid chapter 11 which is almost exactly in the middle of the DVD. Some of the video encoders will also freeze at the same point. Scroll also hiccups at the same point.

Any ideas on how to configure stream to get past the middle of the disc?

After hours searching for an answer and conferring with the arch angels, we have concluded that many DVD producers insert code that breaks audio synchronization in mid stream. Without professional ripping tools, your best bet may be to just restart the recording, creating a new file after the break. You'll have to play both recordings in order to enjoy the film.
