screen capture with audio from microphone or system audio

I am aware that streaming of your computer screen is possible through VLC but I want to stream my desktop with the system audio or the audio provided by microphone. Is it possible with vlc?

yes, and an input-slave to capture the audio from your computer.
the input depends on the OS

I am using Microsoft XP and vlc media player 1.1.5. Please suggest me how that can be done?
