Hardware compability list - We need your help!

The link in the first post of this topic does not lead to VLC hardware compability list (correct me please), so as I understood all hardware is posted here. I have worked with Gigabyte GT-6000 MCE Analog TV Card. PC screen capture through S-Video works fine with matching in "Advanced options" "Video Input Chroma format" "UYVY" and "Video input pin" "2". Without first picture has crazy colors, not matching second can lead to black and white picture.

Audio capture works fine and synchronously with video. As with video I usualy match "4" in "Audio input pin".

1) you may need to download dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw as it is released free, but with a license other than GPL
2) i suspect that V4L does NOT shut down the card when it is out of use (the LED is lit up constantly) this may lead to early amortisation

I would like to capture from the Intensity pro to stream via our network. - I'm not sure if I understand "Input or output?" correctly, hope this answers your question.

VLC 1.2.0 (git) compiled against Decklink SDK/Desktop Video 8.6 (and 8.0).

SDI input and output working fine (capturing 1080i/50)

Having some issues with multicast streaming but likely unrelated to Decklink hardware.

Blackmagic Intensity Pro works for me with decklink input module - same as in previous post.

All video inputs are working. I have not tested audio yet.

One note- you should know exact inputsignal parameters(i.e. resolution and frame rate) and start vlc with proper settings.
Module can not detect sygnal parameters automatically - i.e. if you start with 720p 60Hz but sygnal is actually 720p 59Hz - it will show "no sygnal" error and will not capture.

Hi everybody!

I've found a PCI acquisition card that works properly: TX HOLLYWOOD PCI PLUS

It has composite Video in and S-video inputs only. No sound input available.

I succeded testing it also in dshow streaming mode using Windows XP sp3 and VLC 2.0.1 and two TX HOLLYWOOD PCI PLUS

If you like good analogue captures, ok it maybe old fashion to work in the analogue domain.
Go for Viewcast Osprey 210 (consumer), or 260e (professional) and use Windows 7.
I'm not a fan of Windows and I've tried several days to get it up and running under Linux with v4l2, but I could only get captures at 25fps and couldn't get the audio input recorded

I've updated the Wikipage on VLC and compatible HW on this.

What you recommend for hdmi interface, dvb-c with hdcp support ? Now i have avermedia c027 graber hdmi and the are some problems with video quality, no sound device in vlc 2.1.3. I have to use this card with hdmi splitter. It can be for Linux or Win7

Soundcard: M-Audio Delta AP 2496 (driver 6.0.5) input works without issue.

VB-Cable (virtual cable software device) doesn't seem to work. I think it's because it has 8 channels permanently engaged.
