AES3 audio from MPEG-TS container to MKV container

Postby ale5000 » 25 Dec 2010 20:38

VLC 1.2.0-git-20101224-0002

I have an MPEG-TS file with AES3 audio (detected in VLC as 302M Audio (302m)).
I'm trying to put the audio in an .mkv (without conversion).

I select Media => Convert / Save => add the file => "Convert / Save" button => Select destination =>
I add a new profile with Encapsulation: MKV, Video: None, Audio with "Keep original audio track" selected.
I select the new profile and I press start.

I get an empty file.

Code: Select all

qt4 warning: Transcode MRL: sout=#transcode{vcodec=none}:file{dst='output.mkv'} filesystem warning: unimplemented query 4097 in control main error: cannot add this stream main error: cannot create packetizer output (302m) stream_out_transcode error: cannot find video encoder (module:any fourcc:none). Take a look few lines earlier to see possible reason. stream_out_transcode error: cannot create video chain main error: cannot create packetizer output (mpgv)
Did I do something wrong?

I do not think you can put AES3 in mkv.

There is a container (excluding MPEG-TS) where this audio can be put?
