Read the logs...
And use a modern vlc.

That image works fine here using VLC 1.1.7.

For example, I created a RGBA PNG image with a 50% fill for the face and transparent edges:

Image

The commandline I used:

Code: Select all

vlc -vvv --sub-filter logo --logo-file LOGO_FILE --logo-position 6 INPUT_FILE
Where LOGO_FILE and INPUT_FILE are the locations of the logo and video files, respectively. The "--logo-position 6" puts it in the top-right corner.

Lol sure :P:

Took me a couple of mins in GIMP :). Edging around the face isn't very good.
