Firewire->Streaming over net

Postby woland » 14 Mar 2005 17:24

Hello!

In the Forum there was a suggestion to use dvgrab - |vlc - to grab a firewire stream.
It only delivers errors on my computer:
Capture Started
libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 0.1.9 from http://dvd.sf.net
libdvdnav: vm: faild to open/read the DVD
There are also a lot of messages on the StandardError: Only afew of them:
[00000253] main demuxer debug: looking for access_demux module: 2 candidates
libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable.
libdvdread: Can't stat -
Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
[00000253] dvdnav demuxer warning: cannot open dvdnav
[00000252] main input debug: creating access '' path='-'
[00000256] main access debug: looking for access2 module: 4 candidates
[00000256] access_file access debug: opening file `-'
[00000027] main module debug: using access2 module "access_file"
.....
Does it mean, that vlc is not working correctly, or is it my mistake?
Thank you in advance!

Just a bit more info: I'm running debian sid, kernel 2.6 and for the version of vlc: it's the latest debian package from the experimental branch.
