Setting the sample aspect ratio (SAR)

Hello,

Is there a way to set the SAR (or PAR if you prefer that) when transcoding?

I know x264 supports this (see http://mewiki.project357.com/wiki/X264_Settings), but haven't found a way to use the feature via VLC's command line.
