Streaming everything that is played by VLC

Postby cali » 15 Feb 2010 01:54

Hello, I would like to switch my radio completely to GNU/Linux, and I've decided to use VLC to stream to Icecast.
My issue is that for example, I want to stream my mixes that are .mp3 files.
I have to select the file I want to stream before, and I cannot switch to an other track or it would stop streaming,
What I would like to do is starting the streaming in the background and letting it stream everything I play in VLC.

Is there a way to do so ? I'm sorry for my bad explaination, but I don't know how to explain clearly.
please help me to get rid of closed source and paid shoutcast/icecast manager.

Thanks

/Cali

ahah, it works :) awesome.
It failed because the command line you get from the GUI differs from what you have to type !
