Transcode Streaming - video audio delay

Postby flashpixx » 19 Jan 2010 17:28

Hi,

I'm running vlc, version 1.0.4, (streaming server) under my Gentoo (Dual Xeon, 16GB Ram) to stream a television program via VOD.
My use-flags for emerging are:
httpd ncurses optimisememory libv4l2 v4l v4l2 vlm rtsp stream pvr realrtsp sout shout mp3 mpeg libmpeg2 x264 live555 avahi

I had configured my streams like
new prog1 vod enabled
setup prog1 output #transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=768,scale=1,acodec=mpga,ab=128,channels=2}
setup prog1 input pvr://
setup prog1 option pvr-device=/dev/video0
setup prog1 option pvr-channel=0
setup prog1 option pvr-frequency=147250

The transcode options are only for quicktime to show the stream on OSX.
If I watch one program (same at the others), the audio and video running out of sync around some second, neither on vlc or quicktime.
I have tried to set up the bitrate for video and audio lower but it don't work. The stream on /dev/video0 are synchronized perfectly.
The network client (only one) are connect to the server via gigabit network.

Can anyone help me to solve my problem with the delay?

Thanks
Phil
