noise cancellation with VLC?

Postby CygnusX1 » 21 Jun 2009 15:45

Does anyone know if there is a way to cancel background noise with VLC? I noticed this feature in an older Windows software called Netmeeting, and it's really handy for web cams that pick up ambient noise. I can't find anything similar in VLC. I'm thinking of possibly a pre-encoding feature that cancels noise below a certain db threshold so the only sound heard is when a person speaks.

Thanx!
