pvr-250 streaming with composite

Postby splough » 02 Jan 2004 19:45

I can see how to stream the tv tuner part of my pvr-250 with the VLC command line sample, but I have tried everything to get it to stream my video camera that is connected to the RCA composite and audio connectors. Can anyone help me with this. I want to stream "unicast" my video camera with sound to other VLC clients on our network.

Thanks Scott

Hello,

try to add ":channel=1" in the command line (after maxbitrate=.....)

0 = tuner
1 = composite
2 = svideo

Hello,

0 = tuner
1 = composite
2 = svideo
Well, unforunatelly, things are a bit different with ivtv drivers than with bttv based cards...

On pvr250, 4 is used for TV, lower values for composite, upper for svideo (or the opposite, cannot remember ;-)

Thanks Guys, It was channel 5 for composite for the pvr-250 card. I was trying channels 0-2. Thanks Ben for the tip. You were right, channel 4 it TV.

Thanks Scott
