Advanced Options capture settings ignored when streaming

My V4L2 device needs input 1 selected to play. This works if I set it in Advanced Options and play locally from the Open Capture Device dialogue. However, if I choose the Stream option instead then I don't get input 1 selected. It appears that the Advanced Options are forgotten in this case.

This is using VLC 0.9.8a on Mandriva Linux x64.
