Trouble Transcoding for Mediatomb

Postby sigmab3ta » 04 Nov 2008 04:39

I'm trying to use Mediatomb to stream videos to my PS3. The PS3 has a pretty limited codec support though, so I need to transcode a lot of things - here's where VLC comes in. Here's the command that Mediatomb feeds VLC (from the config.xml):

Code: Select all

<agent command="vlc" arguments="-I dummy %in --sout='#transcode{vcodec=mp1v,vb=4096,acodec=mpga,ab=192}:standard{access=file,mux=mpeg1,dst=%out}'"/>
However, I'm getting an error message from VLC at the transcode step:

Code: Select all

There's colors and all that jazz, but that's probably not too important. Any idea where I messed up?

afaik, mpeg1 is not a muxer, see: vlc -l|grep -wi muxer
besides, you've already got an example in mediatomb config
