Problem setting up VLC 0.9 .. 1.0 as VOD Server

Hello and good morning,

after upgrading my linux based streaming server (vlc) from 0.86 to 0.9 and 0.9.3 I'm unable to set up my stream session.

Before installing vlc 0.9.3 I upgraded all Libraries, using the rpm's at videolan site.

Everything went fine during install. Finally I upgraded libmatroska.

When starting my solution the following output appers:

PS:
By the way. With Windows version 0.9.2 I'm unable to create a functional plugin in Internet Explorer. Firefox loads the plugin and starts the sound, but no video. Any Idea?

Hello again,

after recompiling and upgrading the sources of VLC to 0.9.4-4 my main problem has gone. VLC is starting now.

BUT: No stream will be served, VLC is reading all defined files endless.

After upgrading to V 1.0 the last error and warn messages are disappeared.

BUT: Same procedure as before: no stream will be served, VLC is reading till the cows come home )

Please have a look to the outtakes...

had the same prob a lil while ago i solved it by downgrading to 0.8.6 i find version d the most stable. Try doing the same

Yes, after recompiling everytging and downgrading to 0.86i everything works fine agan. The main problem was to find that very old sourcecode )
