Reflect QTSS stream to windows media player

Postby malde » 23 Mar 2007 18:52

Hi,

is it possible to use vlc to receive a stream from quicktime streaming server that is encoded with h264 and forward that stream to windows media player (using asf as a container?) using either h264 or a different codec?

On a related note: Can Windows Media Server reflect ASF-Streams created by vlc?

Thank You!

Ok, I got it to work with audio, but WMP doesnt recognize the video. I tried all available codecs using VLC on windows and mac os x.

This Plugin for Windows Media player could solve it

It could be a much more simple solution to allow that Windows Media Player could direcly "play" streamed video from Darwin Streaming Server DSS directly.

The software called "MPEGABLE PLAYER" could help
