Streaming to the QuickTime Player

Postby DJ_Izumi » 13 Mar 2007 04:18

We're looking into using VLC for streaming of live events at a convention across wifi so they can be viewed (Or time shifted) at other parts of the convention. For the sake of complete idiotproofness we want to support Windows Media Player and QuickTime Player (Basicly, support PC and Mac). Streaming with WMV to WMP was no problem but I'm having problems figuring out what to set the transcoding options to stream to the QuickTime Player.

I'm using 0.8.6a on Windows XP as the server, FYI and using QTP on a windows machine. I'm just assuming that if streaming works on the Windows QT it'll work on the Mac. ^_^;

So far any setting I've attempted for streaming to QTP has gone bwoom, suggestions?
