How can I insert a logo on a multicast streaming?

Postby FloCTN » 03 Mar 2007 01:51

Hello everybody,

First, congratulations for your very good job!

I'm part of the Centrale Lyon's video club, I'm French, so excuse me for my english.

We streams a TV channel on the school's network in multicast and by using SAP announces.

I would like to insert a logo on the streaming like the others TV channels.
At the time, the code on the server is:

Code: Select all

screen -d -m -S CTV vlc --ttl 1 udp://@ --sout '#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=239.255.1.0,sap,name="CTV"}}' -I dummy
I tried the following code without any success (the logo isn't displayed) :

Code: Select all

screen -d -m -S CTV vlc --logo-file CTV.png --ttl 1 udp://@ --sout '#transcode{sfilter=logo}:duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=239.255.1.0,sap,name="CTV"}}' -I dummy
Could you help me please?

Thanks

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Code: Select all

screen -d -m -S CTV vlc --ttl 1 udp://@ --sout '#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=239.255.1.0,sap,name="CTV"}}' -I dummy
j'ai essayé le code suivant sans succès (pas d'affichage de logo) :

Code: Select all

screen -d -m -S CTV vlc --logo-file CTV.png --ttl 1 udp://@ --sout '#transcode{sfilter=logo}:duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=239.255.1.0,sap,name="CTV"}}' -I dummy
Pouvez vous m'aider?

Merci

You need to tell it to actually transcode the video: add vcodec=mp2v,vb=2048 in transcode. (Transcode only transcodes audio / video if you give it a acodec/vcodec ... even if you're telling it to apply a sub filter).

Bonne chance!
