Mosaic errors

Postby lerra » 27 Feb 2007 09:42

Hi, I have builded vlc 0.8.6.a from source under Linux but i get an error when I start the vlm.conf but I can see the stream, with my background but not my "loggo" so I susspect its the loggofile that has problems.
My loggofile is a png file 101*23 pixels. Any ideas?

VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus

And sometimes I see
[00000404] [Media: camera1] ffmpeg private error: img_resample_init only deals with I420
[00000274] [Media: camera1] stream_out_mosaic_bridge private error: image conversion failed

and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec,
but in the compiler. Do not report crashes to FFmpeg developers.

VLC probably does not support this image format.

This is on a dev box with litle CPU and ram, could this be the problem? I have no problems running single streams and i have never seen "Compiler did not align stack variables. Libavcodec has been miscompiled
and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec,
but in the compiler. Do not report crashes to FFmpeg developers." since now.

Sorry i wasn't here for a while...

with my poor experience in mosaics, I cannot see your problem ... but I can just tell you that it's could be better to use RTSP instead of HTTP and ... heuu ... did you try to use the http mosaic wizzard ? i think that can probably help you...

I will take a look at it, is it just to change to RTSP instead of http in the config? I will look at the wizard, i saw that it spawned a webserver, not a graphical interface that i thought.

actually, i'm trying to make it work on RSTP too ... but for the moment, that's unsuccessfully... i think that the best way could be to broadcast on UDP all your channels, take them in another computer (powerful one ... ) and stream them on RSTP. and link them with a 1Go/s ethernet ...

but for a simple use, This config file is working good on a core2duo but take off all timeshift options ... and stay on mp2v encoding ... and add : --codec==ffmpeg,any and --ffmpeg-lowres=1 or 2 ...
