Can't adjust window size, can't enlarge the controls

Just got a new Windows 11 device, and installed the VLC player. However, it does not have the "traditional" window border. It takes up the entire screen, and there is no apparent way of adjusting that size. I have found nothing under any preference menu.
What is even stranger is that the controls are in the bottom left corner, and they are microscopic. Again, there is now apparent adjustment to the size of these controls.
I am guessing that I am looking in the wrong location. It was easily more user-friendly with Windows 10, and it is very easy on Android. A little disappointed. The legacy Windows media player appears to be the way to go at this time. I can't have a window taking up the entire screen with no ability to minimize.
