vlc for xbox seires X and issues with smb

I can not load a smb share on vlc but I can load upnp. I am able to smb share and stream content with a android box with vlc and I can stream with xbox seires x fine through kodi but I want to use vlc as I'm having audio delay lips not syncing with kodi on the xbox. When I try to load t didn't work where is the setting to put username password and ip or hostname in vlc on xbox seires x i cant find it.
