SMB Authentication

VLC has started to request SMB authentication for access to my computer media server. The screen says username is Domain;Username, which I have tried as well as my windows login and password.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do you fix it?
I just want to play videos from my computer on xb1 using VLC app.
