Hola! So, I use my xbox one mostly to play films. This is only possible/practical thanks to VLC which has served me well for years. Xbox got updated recently and now I'm really struggling to play anything at all. Films start but half the time I get a blank screen, audio only, after a few minutes. Doesn't matter whether via SMB or DLNA, it just stops, then crashes. I don't think it's my source (a Pi running minidlna + samba) as the crappy xbox media player still works fine. Is anyone else seeing the same?

I am getting the same blank screen problem. Looks like it has been around for 3 years. Lots of posts say to disable hardware acceleration,
but -
they don't say whether to disable it through xbox software, or through VLC itself.
Either way, I can't find the setting.

Using latest VLC as of 31 Dec 2019 on an older XBOX One
