I'm using VLC on my Xbox One S and Xbox One X. It's mostly great but I have this one nagging issue.
I have some multichannel audio stored as both *.ac3 and *.dts files. If I put these on an SMB share on my network and connect VLC to that share, I can browse the files and play them without any problem.
When I copy these same files to a USB drive and plug it into the Xbox, I can browse to the folder and no files show up to play ("there's nothing to see here"). The USB drive is properly set up as media storage on the Xbox; I can browse and play other file types from it without any problem. The .dts and .ac3 file types are the only two that I have found to exhibit this behavior.
Can anyone help me understand why the same file type would show up over SMB but not on a USB device? Thank you.
