Unable to play the second audio stream if it doesn't have the same number of channels.

I have mkv files on a DLNA server.
They have a 5.1 AC3 stream and a 2.0 AC3.
The first track (5.1) plays perfectly. Switching to the second one (2.0) plays garbled audio.
If the tracks both have the same number of channels, both plays perfectly.

I tried the nightly desktop build 3.0.0.0 20171216.
Both audio tracks work well and I can properly navigate my DLNA server, which I was unable to do with the previous version.
