cover art not shown in Player if artist/album contains non-ascii chars

Hi, seems there is a problem with cover art if either album or artist name contain non-Ascii chars (eg. German Umlauts, but also special French etc. chars), in overview or player module - BUT it is shown as background of the player module. Checked the album art folder - path is existing and cover is there. So I assume it's simply a problem of internal path handling (ascii / unicode or something - sorry, I do not really have dev skills :) )
Is this known, is there a current workaround?

Sure - I can send you example file and some screenshots for better understanding. Cannot see possibiltiy to add attachments to PM's (or maybe just blind :) ), so where to put those files?

I've also got this problem. The cover art shows when I play the album with VLC Media player, but not in Windows (Universal) - both running under Windows 10 Build 1709 - also have screen dumps, but also can't see how to upload these :( . When I correct by removing the offending characters (e.g.) French accents the library does not appear to update and with the new Tag data as the cover art still does not display. VLC for Winders is labelled "Universal" in Windows Store in which case it would be nice if it supported the extended ascii character set that includes language accents.
