Audio stops after library update/indexing

Hi,
I am quite happy with VLC for WinStore (the only one I found which is really handy on my Laptop in touch mode and, not too overloaded as others) - nevertheless, I am NOT happy with this behaviour:
every time I start-up VLC it is re-scanning the library folder. Waith currently > 10.000 files (and still growing while moving from CD's to digital) this takes already more than two minutes. That's ok as it happens in the background, unfortunately audio playback stops when the update is done. Have to skip to next track, skip back, hit play and its working again.
So, finally, the question: is there any way to avoid this - would be completely ok to disable this auto-indexing (I would be fine with manual re-indexing anyway)?

Hi linus,

Thank you for your message.

I was able to reproduce the behaviour you described with the latest version of the app available from the Windows Store.
It has been fixed a couple months ago and will be part of the next incoming release.

taggen, I could not reproduce your issue. Could you please upload one of your Divx file somewhere and post the link here so I can test it out?
Also next time please create a new thread to help keep the threads focused on their respective issues.

Thanks.
