Hello,
I've seen dozens of people report this issue and I've never seen anyone anywhere with any idea what to do about it.
VLC for Xbox will sometimes just stop playing audio. For me it happens watching from a DLNA Server. It might happen on other videos, but we only use DLNA. We have over 20 Xboxes hooked up to a DLNA server, not receiving updates, and suddenly one of them will no longer play audio. An Xbox in the next room will play the same files with no problem, using the same software on the same console on the same network. Restarting the app doesn't fix it. Restarting the console doesn't fix it. Uninstalling and reinstalling hasn't fixed it. Updating the Xbox software hasn't fixed it. There are no settings to adjust inside VLC. I've tried messing with the audio options on XBox but nothing changes. All other sound on the Xbox works fine (Navigation sounds, game sounds, etc.) but when the video plays there is no sound unless you press the skip button and then you hear a few millisecond hiccup of the audio track.
All I keep seeing here, reddit, and elsewhere is people reporting the problem but I've never seen anyone who fixed it. Is there anyone with some idea of what is going on here?
