Feature request: global shortcuts for seeking

Postby Meteorhead » 31 Jul 2016 20:34

Love the way how VLC does not neglect UWP. Awesome job guys. Is it possible for someone to add global shortcuts for seeking in the videos? There were 2 shortcuts I used in the old VLC: Space for pause and the arrow keys to jump if I missed something in a movie. These are the only features I need.

Space bar pause is there now, but arrow key jumping only works while the seek bar is focused and visible. I have to click almost directly on the little position dot to avoid seeking, and it only works for maybe 5 sec until the interface fades. This alone is a deal breaker for desktop use.

It also seeks in 20 sec intervals, which is too far just to hear a line I missed in a movie. 5 sec would be ideal.
