static green screen while playing some videos

anyone facing the green screen problem after the latest vlc update on wp 8.1?it plays some videos perfectly but for other videos it plays audio only with a static green screen.Before this update which i got today it was working flawlessly for every videos i have.any fix,anyone?My phone is lumia 630 running on lumia denim.

I have it also, on one video that plays fine on the default Video app but green screens with vlc. If it matters it started as an mkv, and I converted it to a mp4, but still does it.

I have the problem too in the mp4 video and the webm one doesn't even play. My is a 640 XL.

I tried .mp4's (HDTV.x264 format) from 3 different series but they all play fine.
(VLC 1.7.0.0 on a Lumia 630)

I am experiencing the same problem on my HTC One M8 when attempting to play divx files. I get sound, but the image is just this green screen. Thinking the files may have been corrupted, I removed the SD card from my phone and loaded the files up on my laptop where they played just fine. The program was working fine on my phone as of 10/2.
