problem with displaying subtitles in mkv files

Postby wargarurumon » 03 Mar 2015 02:26

although this is technically for the desktop version of the windows rt app, i do hope i can post here about this problem

somehow in certain files the embedded soft subs in MKV files are not displayed. is there some sort of issue of it only displaying specific types or subtitle files

it can detect that there is subtitles available but it can't play them, nor does it automatically play the subtitles at the beginning of opening the mkv file

i'm not sure, i just open the mkv file and the subtitles it comes with don't play

i saw on the windows store page in the reviews section that there might be problems with displaying non-unicode or unicode characters
