SMB connection to local Mac Mini works great on iPad. Exact same parameters entered on Apple TV, It looks like it's trying for 0.5 seconds and then app disappears; back to Apple TV home screen. If I enter the wrong password I get the normal Empty Folder, so it's something to do with a successful connection. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, resetting settings, and turning "Prefer SMB 1" off. This happens on both an AppleTV 4K and an older Apple TV 3.

Ugh, that is unexpected. I will check the crash logs for this. Sadly, I cannot offer any recommendation to fix it at the moment.

Sorry to bring you an annoying one. I'm happy to do anything at my end that would be helpful.
