Split Tracks When Importing CD Album Files into VLC for iOS

Hello,

When I try to import music files from CDs on my desktop into VLC on an iOS device, many albums are getting split into separate albums with only a few tracks in each. For example, an album with 12 tracks may be split into 2 or 3 albums each with a few of the original tracks. Is there a way to prevent this, or a way to compile all of the tracks back into the original album within the VLC app?

I had the same problem when transferring the music files from Apple Music on my desktop and into Music on my iOS devices. (I use the most current software.) Apple tech support told me that many CDs don’t include DRM coding and therefore can’t be transferred from a desktop to an iOS device. I was told only albums downloaded from Apple include the necessary DRM coding to enable the transfer of files. 5e files are all AIFF or AAC.

Sorry, the answer you got from apple is absolutely unrelated to your problem. Most likely, the metadata does not match the album descriptions in the way you want it to be. Additionally, in VLC, you have the option to see "featured" artists separately or not - probably you do NOT want to see them separately. There is an option in the sorting menu within the audio library to make this change. However, in total, DRM is absolutely not needed and not helpful in your scenario.
