Hello,

I have the newest Apple Tv and a server with smb. I can connect, i can browse but when i want to play an mp4 file imsee the yellow screen „please wait“ which returns in approximately 1 second. No error no other warning text is being displayed.

I tried for many days now, only one time ot played the files, after that never again.

Is there a known issue on the app for Apple Tv? I restarted apple tv, closed all open Apps and reinstalled the app.

But i cannot make it play again.I have Apple Tv A2737(64Gb)

On my Phone and Ipad everything works like before. This problem only affects Apple Tv.

I have the same problem.

Im trying to play MKV files from my NAS via SMB.

Tested on both Apple TV 4K (1st generation) and Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) (both 32 GB)

Lately i managed to play something. When i don‘t use the saved credentials, but login new with port and explicitely type 445 as server port it worked again. When i log in with the saved credentials it does log in but doesn’t play anything.

Hello,

A few days ago, I fixed some issues regarding the local network connections on AppleTV.

Now when a server is discovered, you can successfully login, browse and play medias without going through the "Generic" connection process.

The patch should be available on the next release, thanks for the feedback!
