iOS Edit Playlist

I recently moved from a Galaxy S20 to an iPhone. It's been a painful transition. I used VLC on Android. Amazing. Android let's developers make functional software. Android let's me use the device as I see fit. Apple, not so much.

I realize that many of my issues are likely with Apple and their draconian lockdown of an otherwise powerful platform.

That being said. How can I *edit* an existing playlist in VLC for iOS? I see that I can edit a playlist that's currently playing. However, I do not see an option to edit (like rearranging songs) existing playlists and having the changes saved.

My entire music collection (a mixture of MP3 and FLAC files) total over 36k songs. I'm having to rebuild all of my playlists that I had created on my Android device. And from time-to-time I like to be able to change up my existing playlists.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to make life easier on iOS, I'm all ears. Thank you for reading, and thank you to the devs at VLC for making a solid product.

Hello Nick,

Go to the Playlist tab, select the playlist that you'd like to edit. Then, touch the action button (circle with 3 dots) on the top right, Select and then select the items you want to remove, etc. or use the element with the 3 stripes on the right to reorder.

To add new items to a playlist, select them in the Video or Audio tab and then use the button at the bottom of the screen to add them to existing playlists or to create new ones.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I also wanted to add this link to the user documentation that we have been updating recently: https://docs.videolan.me/vlc-user/ios/3.X/en/index.html

Let us know if you would like to see more details on existing sections or new sections explaining certain parts of the application that we haven't done yet.

Hope this helps, thanks for the feedback!
