VLC for iPhone 3.4.9 playing m3u IPTV stations

Hi Guys sorry if this topic has already been dealt with but honestly I could not find it.

I have a m3u list of IPTV stations which I stream using VLC Player. On all the older VLC versions this always worked out great. Since 3.4.9 I have noticed the following:

1. I am not able to "go backwards" through the list but I can go forwards from one station to the next.
2. On older iphones the station does not play longer than 60-70seconds before skipping to the next station, this raises eyebrows and we go nuts. This happens regardless of Internet strength/speed.
3. The sound equaliser setup is clunky to access and the setting never STICKS, you have to reset it all the time.

The 3.4.9 version is truly terrible compared to the older versions and my last question is, is it ok to downgrade and if so, where can I do that?
