Playback bugs in vlc 3.4.8 on ipad....again!

Once again, an update to vlc on ipad introduces more bugs. This time :

When i play locally stored mp3s using shuffle, i can select a song under the "songs" or "albums" tabs and it plays, and then plays another randomly, as it should, but if i then interrupt it and tap another song it doesn't then play that one, but another random one, just like tapping the next song from the larger player interface. It worked fine in the last version.

Secondly, it seems that sometimes tapping a song STILL causes it to occasionally play songs silently, moreso than usual.

Thanks. Hope you can fix the first one at least

For the shuffle, I know how I broke this. Fixing it will be interesting.

For the silent songs, we have absolutely no idea what is causing it and I was not successful in reproducing the problem with the 3.4.8 update anymore. Could you generate debug logs for us? Just enable that option in settings and if once in a while, you reproduced once more, go to the Files app, open the VLC folder, find the subfolder "Logs" and give us the latest.

Thanks!

I tested the silent playing thing on my ipad from 2021 and it does the same as my pro, so here is the log of the last two songs i played. The song "a new day has come" worked fine, but then I tapped immediately on "a view to a kill" and it played silently.

Sadly, there is nothing wrong with both logs. They are almost the same. It is weird that the equaliser is enabled but it should not explain the silence.

Could it be something to do with having a large number of files in the vlc folder, over 2000 for example ?
