I’ve noticed when using CarPlay, VLC will play every other song in a playlist. Any suggestions?

I am using VLC as well on iPhone on my car - and I suffer from the same issue. Everytime I change songs it will skip 1.
If I unplug from the car, VLC will not exhibit this behavior.

I have attempted to change all settings on VLC to attempt to avoid it, but it had no effect.

Hi I have the same problem.. only plays every second song when I play mp3 files. Any updates would be appreciated!!

Same problem here. As stated in another post, it would be helpful if tapping on a playlist in CarPlay, displayed the content of the playlist instead of just starting to play it.

The skipping of songs should be fixed in 3.4.8. For the playlist view, this is a good idea but needs more work.

I tried 3.4.8 and it is still skipping every other song in a playlist when using CarPlay.

Is shuffle on?

The shuffle button on my car display interface doesn’t seem to work. (Doesn’t highlite the button or change status on the phone display) I checked the status on my phone and toggled it on and off to make sure shuffle was off. It seems to be working properly now. Thanks!

Just an update; I'm running 3.4.9.
If I start the songs using my phone's interface, they will play normally (i.e. no skipping).

But If I start the songs using the car's interface, they will systematically skip.

Not using shuffle.

I got the same problem on VLC 3.4.9 (550)

The first song played is number 1, then 3, then 5.
Generally from 2 to 2 but sometimes not get the next normally.

Another problem may be related to :
When I clic on the playlist icon, go to the next song (2 song next).

No shuffle or repeat.
