Missing song title and artist

Sometimes vlc player doesn't display the song title and artist in the full screen music player on ipad. When I restart the app by force closing it there is a fifty/fifty chance it will or it wont on next restart. Does this happen to anyone else?

No, this is unexpected. Is this with content stored locally on iPad? mp3?
