VLC Folder in Files App has disappeared

Hello,
I am unable to add audio/video files from my Files App on iPhone to VLC. Before, I recall either being able to: (1) share the media to VLC (and it would stay in the VLC app where I could put it in a Folder); or (2) move the media file in the VLC folder of the Files App and it would be visible the same way in the VLC App.
Now, the VLC folder is no longer in the Files App "On My iPhone." Additionally, media files from the Files App can be shared to VLC but they don't stay there. When you close the audio/video, it just exits the playback. This is basically the same as playing a Local file from the Network tab in VLC. The played media does not stay in the App where it would be possible to move it into a folder.
Sorry if I have not explained this issue clearly. Please let me know if you need further details.
Edit: I am using VLC for iOS version 3.4.3 (517) and my iOS version is 16.4.1 (a)
