vlc on ipad plays next video blank

I'm running vlc on an ipad pro recently upgraded and connect to a local server over SMB to access video files

Selecting a video from the folder correctly starts playing the video but continuing to the next video plays only audo; the screen is blank.

If I minimize the video (pinch to close actually minimizes) and enlarge again the video is restored. Restored only for this play. Once the video ends the next video starts up in audio only.

This is consistent with my iphone 12pro on the latest ios 16

Has anyone found a fix?

Same is happening right now with the current version on Windows 10. First videos plays fine, the next the audio is ok but the screen is black. If I hit stop and then play, the video plays fine.

Version : 3.0.18
Windows 10 (updated)
Drivers audio/video (updated)

Seams a problem with the playlist and not the codec, since plays fine if is the first to play.

Was working fine around 1 month ago.
